It generally needs more than one session to build density, with a perfecting visit six to eight weeks after the first and sometimes a further pass. The healed result is always softer than the day-of colour. Longevity varies by salon, pigment line, skin type and sun exposure, and lips fade faster than brows because the surface renews quickly.

The lip border is mapped and approved first, shade is tested against your natural tone, and topical numbing is applied and topped up as needed. A machine then lays colour in repeated light passes across the whole lip, working the border last so it stays clean. Appointments commonly run two to three hours. Expect significant swelling during the session and a colour that looks far bolder than the agreed shade for the first few days.
