Hairline Restoration

Two finishes dominate. A stippled version borrows the micropigmentation technique, placing tiny dots so the front area reads as short growth and the edge fades naturally into skin. A stroke-based version draws individual hair-like lines and is generally reserved for people with longer hair who want visible gaps at the front filled in visually. Many studios blend the two. Which suits you depends on hair length, hair texture and the way your front hair falls, and a good technician will say so before anything is drawn.

Design restraint matters more here than technical skill. A hairline drawn too low, too straight or too dark ages badly and reads as artificial in daylight, and it is far easier to add a little later than to lift pigment back out. Sensible studios map the shape in removable pencil first, ask you to look at it in a mirror and in natural light, and photograph it from several angles before touching a needle. That step deserves as long as it takes.
