Overview
The reason this version exists is comfort. Any lift involves lotions that temporarily soften and reset the lash, and some people find their lashes feel drier afterwards. A conditioning finish is the salon's answer: clients commonly describe the lashes as softer, glossier and easier to brush through in the days after, though the degree of difference varies a great deal by product line.
Expect the same practical outcome as a standard lift — upward curve, no extensions, no daily upkeep, typically around six to eight weeks before it fades out with your lash cycle. The nourishing step usually adds ten to fifteen minutes to the appointment. Some salons also sell a matching home serum, which is optional rather than required for the result to hold.
How it works
The lift runs as usual: shield placed, lashes combed onto a silicone rod, a softening lotion followed by a setting lotion with timing judged from your lash thickness. The nourishing product then goes on over the shaped lashes and is left for several minutes — some salons add gentle warmth or a steamer at this point — before everything is removed and the lashes are cleaned and brushed. The conditioning layer is cosmetic and washes away over the following days; the curl is what remains.
