Lash Tint

Tinting is the quietest lash service there is. An appointment usually takes fifteen to thirty minutes, there is no shape change to get used to, and the result typically holds around four to six weeks before it fades as lashes cycle. It is a favourite among people with fair, blonde, red or greying lashes, for whom the difference can be surprisingly large.

The limits are worth naming: a tint adds no length, no curl and no density, and on already-dark lashes the visible change is small. Shade choices are usually black, blue-black or brown, and the colour looks strongest in the first week or two. How long it lasts and which products are used vary by salon and product line, and eyelash dye regulations differ between countries — a fair question to ask before booking.

You lie back with your eyes closed while shaped pads protect the lower lashes and the skin around them. The technician mixes the dye, brushes it through the upper lashes from base to tip, and leaves it to develop for a timed interval before wiping everything away and rinsing. A patch test behind the ear or on the inner arm at least twenty-four to forty-eight hours in advance is standard practice for dye services and should not be skipped, even for a repeat client changing products.
