Lip Blush
Lip blush is a semi-permanent makeup service that adds a soft wash of colour to the lips, making them look tinted and slightly more defined without the weight of lipstick. It is a colour service only — it adds no volume, involves no injections and has nothing to do with fillers, despite often appearing on the same salon menu.

Overview
The usual goal is lips that look like themselves on a good day: a little warmer, a little more even, with a clearer edge. Colour choice is a joint decision and is influenced by your natural lip tone, since pigment sits over what is already there rather than covering it — a cool-toned lip will pull any shade cooler than it looks in the bottle.
Expect the colour to look startlingly bright for a few days, then lose a large share of its intensity as it heals; most of the settled result appears at around three to four weeks. A perfecting visit six to eight weeks later is standard and is where the shade is usually strengthened. Longevity varies by salon, pigment line, skin type and sun habits.
How it works
The technician outlines the shape, agrees the shade with you against your natural tone, and applies a topical numbing product — lips are sensitive, so numbing is usually reapplied during the session. A machine then works colour into the lip in light layers, keeping the centre and the border consistent with the shape you approved. Sessions typically take two to three hours. Lips swell noticeably during and after the work and look their fullest that evening.
