Lower Eyeliner
Lower eyeliner is a semi-permanent makeup service along the lower lash line, usually applied far more lightly than upper liner because a heavy line there can make the eye look smaller and tired. Most designs are a soft, thin definition through the outer half rather than a full line across the whole lid.

Overview
It is normally discussed as a companion to upper liner rather than a service on its own, and technicians often recommend doing the upper line first, living with it, and adding the lower one later if the eye still looks unbalanced. Placement matters more than colour here: a thin line hugging the lashes reads as definition, while anything lower or heavier tends to close the eye visually.
The lower lid is thinner and more mobile than the upper, so the studio will usually go lighter, work in shorter sections and expect softer retention. A perfecting visit six to eight weeks later is standard, and longevity varies by salon, pigment line, skin type and how much sun the area gets.
How it works
After the design is drawn on and agreed, a topical numbing product is applied and left to work. You keep your eyes closed or look upward as instructed while the technician steadies the lower lid and taps pigment along the lash line in short passes, usually building from the outer corner inward and stopping well before the inner corner. The area waters easily, so expect frequent pauses. Sensation is usually described as pressure with vibration.
