Ombre Dip
An ombre dip blends two or more dip powders so the colour fades gradually along the nail with no hard line — often a soft pink melting into white, but equally a bold two-colour or glitter fade. Like other dip work it needs no lamp, and the gradient sits inside the layers rather than on the surface, so it does not rub off at the tip.

Overview
It offers the soft, diffuse look people like about baby boomer nails without going into acrylic, and wears for the usual two to four weeks. It suits both quiet nude gradients and vivid colour pairs, and glitter fading from the tip is a popular variation. As with all dip services it adds body but no length, and the result depends heavily on how evenly the powders are feathered together.
How it works
The base coat is brushed on and the first powder is applied over the whole nail or the lower portion. While the base is still receptive the second powder is layered over the tip area and worked back with a small brush so the colours overlap gradually. Excess is dusted off between passes, more layers refine the blend, then activator hardens the structure, the surface is filed smooth and a top coat seals it. Removal is by filing and soaking, as with any dip set.
