The core idea behind Coolwaves is that microwaves at the frequency used by the device can pass through the skin surface and release much of their energy in the subcutaneous fat layer. Heating is intended to damage fat cells, which the body then clears gradually, while warmth reaching the deeper skin may stimulate collagen remodeling and a firming effect.
