Sculptra
Sculptra is a branded injectable made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a collagen biostimulator rather than a conventional dermal filler. Instead of adding volume on the spot, it prompts the skin to gradually rebuild its own collagen, so results develop over weeks to months and typically require a series of treatment sessions. It is mainly discussed for facial volume loss and deeper folds.

Overview
The active ingredient is microparticles of poly-L-lactic acid, which trigger new collagen formation after injection. Commonly discussed areas include the cheeks, temples, the smile-line region, and along the jawline—zones that hollow or sag as collagen declines. Whether a specific area is appropriate, and how many sessions are needed, should be assessed in consultation. In some markets the colloquial name is applied loosely to other collagen-stimulating injectables, so confirm the actual registered product with the clinic.
It helps to be clear about what it can and cannot do. Sculptra addresses gradual volume loss and structural support, and the outcome depends on your own collagen response, which varies between people. It does not reshape instantly the way hyaluronic acid filler does, and it is not a substitute for surgical lifting or a fix for significant skin laxity.
